This HTML-File contains some very detailed information about the map and some other nice things about the map. Please read it carefully.
If you want to know how to install and/or play the lambda_base map please read installation.txt.

First you have to know that I've put a lot of work in this map so I apprieciate your input (you can find my e-mail address below). Second I want to tell you some things that you probaly know but if you're a beginner you don't.
If you have the gauss-gun (the one with those strange orange stripes) you can gauss-jump. You can get the gauss-gun at the top of the container outside. You can come there with the gauss-jump or via the Securtiy Office. Just climb the ladder and then jump at the crates and then jump at the container. If you're lucky you're respawn at the container by the way. There is the gauss-gun. Now you have a very powerfull weapon. It can even shoot thru thinn walls!! You can only shoot thru walls when the gun is shooted with the right-mouse button. But be carefull if you load the gun to long it will explode in your hands. Example: you see someone running into the truck. Just shoot trhu the walls of the truck. I said you can gauss-jump. Here's how to do it: Just load the weapon with the right mouse button. When you think it's enough (60% is enough), you just jump (space) and at the highest point you release the right-mouse button. Then you will be rocketed into the sky. When you fall from great height you can quickly load the weapon (10% is enough) and release it to catch your fall. This is the Supplyroom. If you're low on health or ammo you can re-supply here. When you enter or leave the supplyroom you hear "Warning". Everyone in the level heares it. So you're position is know and you can expect a rocket when you run away immediatly. So be carefull with this room. This is a list of sniper-places: (1) On top of the Security Office or container. (2) On top of the Container. (3) On top of the Bunker (gauss-jump). (4) In the Bunker. (5) Behind the pipe in the hallway leading to the Bunker. (6) Between the crates round the container. (7) Beneath the truck. You can duck there and zoom in with the crossbow and surprise people. Around the bunker and in the dark spot by the Security Office there is ammo/healthkits. Use them! At last, but not least: please insert the Original Retail Half-Life CD in your CD-player. The music will give the level more atmosphere. Don't play it in a bright room and don't set the gamma and flare options to low, by the way. * Map Information *

Bollinger (bxb209@psu.edu, Barry's Half-Life Site - http://bxb209.gameseek.com/). I changed some things (e.g. breakable glass, second exhaust, steam thats hurts, removed some unneeded things) but Barry did the most. Please visit his site, there are some great things (maps, prefabs, wallpapers). * Legal terms * -This level is copyrighted by Erik Kok, 2000. -The Army Truck is copyrighted by Barry A.
